AidData is an initiative that aims to (a) increase the impact of development assistance by making aid information more transparent and accessible to a wide range of stakeholders, and (b) improve the quality of research on aid allocation and aid effectiveness. AidData provides a searchable database of nearly one million past and present aid activities around the world, aid information management services and tools, data visualization technologies, and research designed to increase understanding of development finance. Currently, the AidData team is working with a wide range of development organizations to collect, visualize, and leverage aid information in ways that will improve development policy, practice, and research.
GADM Database of Global Administrative Areas
GADM is a spatial database of the location of the world's administrative areas (or adminstrative boundaries) for use in GIS and similar software. Administrative areas in this database are countries and lower level subdivisions such as provinces, departments, bibhag, bundeslander, daerah istimewa, fivondronana, krong, landsvæðun, opština, sous-préfectures, counties, and thana. GADM describes where these administrative areas are (the "spatial features"), and for each area it provides some attributes, such as the name and variant names.
Center for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP)
CERP is a non-profit research organization that aims to encourage economic and social research on Pakistan. CERP's Data Center compiles links to Pakistan-related data sets including household surveys and firm-level data. There has been a significant increase in the availability and quality of data on Pakistan; some sets are available freely online, others available upon request.
Election Commission of Pakistan
The Election Commission of Pakistan is an independent and autonomous constitutional body charged with the function of conducting transparent, free, fair and impartial elections to the National and Provincial Assemblies. Both national and provincial election results since 1970 are available at the website.
Pakistan Bureau of Statistics
Pakistan Bureau of Statistics compiles statistics from many sources and produces global updates, including the Statistical Yearbook, Pakistan Statistics Handbook and yearbooks in specialized fields of statistics. The PBS also collects data such as: Household Integrated Economic Survey (HIES); Pakistan Social And Living Standards Measurement (PSLM, 2004-2015); Labour Force Survey (LFS); Demographic and Research Statistics (2001, 03, 05, 06, 07); Pakistan Demographic Survey (PDS); Business Register; Crime Report (1997-2007); and Number of Police Stations (1997-2007).
Pakistan Social And Living Standards Measurement (PSLM) Data
The PSLM Project is designed to provide Social & Economic indicators in the alternate years at provincial and district levels. It provides a set of population-based estimates of social indicators. It was initiated in July 2004 and will continue up to June 2015. The surveys from 2004-05, 2005-06, 2007-08, and 2008-09 are currently available.

Pakistan Integrated Household Survey (PIHS) Data
The Pakistan Integrated Household Survey (PIHS) was conducted jointly by the Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) of Pakistan, Government of Pakistan, and the World Bank in 1991. The nationwide survey gathered individual and household level data ranging from housing conditions, education, health, employment, migration, fertility, and credit and savings, and household. In 1999, the PIHS was integrated with the Household Integrated Economic Survey (HIES). The data are available at Princeton University Data and Statistical Service (http://dss.princeton.edu/cgi-bin/dataresources/guides.cgi) for currently enrolled or employed members of Princeton University. The FBS publications can also be purchased from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics website (http://www.pbs.gov.pk/publications). Worldwide Incidents Tracking System
The Worldwide Incidents Tracking System (WITS) is the U.S. Government's database on acts of terrorism, and contains details about incidents of violence against civilians and non-combatants (including military personnel and assets outside of war-like settings) from publicly available information. National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) analysts determine if an event meets the definitional criteria of 22 U.S.C. § 2656f(d)(2) as an act of terrorism. NCTC is not responsible for errors and omissions in open source reporting. The judgment of NCTC is not intended to be a legally binding determination that an event is a terrorist act for any purpose other than providing statistical information. The WITS data set is available free of charge to anyone.
